The Toyota Land Cruiser VDJ200 Series is widely known for its durability, off-road capability, and long-distance touring performance. Powered by the legendary 4.5L 1VD-FTV twin-turbo diesel engine, the 200 Series delivers exceptional torque and towing capacity. However, the factory exhaust system can be restrictive, limiting the full potential of the twin-turbo diesel platform.

The Manta Performance Exhaust MKTY0055 is designed specifically for the VDJ200 Land Cruiser, improving exhaust flow and reducing backpressure to help the engine and turbochargers perform more efficiently. This mandrel-bent 3” aluminized steel exhaust system allows the twin turbos to spool more freely, improving throttle response and supporting stronger torque delivery across the rev range.

Extensive testing has shown that a 3-inch exhaust system is the optimal size for the 1VD-FTV engine, providing improved airflow while helping reduce exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs). Lower EGTs are especially important for Land Cruisers used for towing, long-distance touring, and overland travel, where sustained engine loads can generate higher heat levels.
