The Ascent is the culmination of our work with hardcore adventurers, hunters, and special operations communities where reliable solar power can be the difference between mission success or failure..  Sharing a similar set of requirements, we started by blending high-power output in off-nominal conditions with a voltage regulator designed in-house and constructed to maximize power output and survive the harshest conditions. The result was a portable, high-power output, and a rugged charger that withstands multiple deployments in the most extreme environments.  The entire system is modular, featuring mil-spec DC threaded connectors, and we think it looks pretty good too.
